Description:
The Daniel (1719-1784) and Aaron (1749-1806) Arms account book of Deerfield, Massachusetts, is a record of transactions involving the sale and purchase of foodstuffs, labor, textiles, and other goods from 1753-1806, including hiring and selling the labor of enslaved individuals. The Arms account book is part of a collection of more than 600 account books currently in the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association Library kept by local merchants, professionals, farmers, craftspeople, and business firms from the 17th - 20th centuries.
