William Arms (1724-1794) was the second of eight children born to William, Sr. and Rebecca Arms of Deerfield, Massachusetts. Arms. The younger William lived in the Wapping section of town, just south of the original village. He married Elizabeth Belding of Hatfield in about 1749. Eight of their ten children lived to adulthood. William Arms died in 1794, aged 70.
In 1761, William paid his cousin Daniel Arms, Jr. (1719-1784) of Deerfield for seven days work by Titus, the man Daniel enslaved from about 1757-1771.
