This man was most likely enslaved by David Field of Deerfield, Massachusetts. In the account book of Deerfield shoemaker Zadock Hawks are several entries for mending "your boys" shoes, and an entry in Dr. Thomas Williams' account book notes that he treated "your negro." It is possible that "your boy" and "your negro" refer to a man enslaved by Field.
