In October of 1816, Lucinda married Charles Green, a blacksmith. The 1820 federal census for Colrain lists him as the head of household with six "free colored persons." One male and two females between the ages of 26 and 44 are listed. This would have been Charles, Lucinda, and possibly Charles' older sister, Lettice (Lettie, Lettice, Violette), who was partially blind. One male over the age of 45 is noted. This was probably Charles' father, Peter, Sr., who was an invalid and might have lost his second wife that year. Two males aged 14-25 are listed and their names and relation to the family are unknown. The 1830 Colrain census lists five "free colored persons" in his household- Charles, Lucinda, and two boys and a girl under the age of 10. The 1840 census shows that the daughter might have died and Lettice was living with them again.
Lucinda died of lung fever in 1843 or 1844. She is buried in the Brick School Cemetery in Colrain, near the grave of her husband.
