In the Conway, Massachusetts vital records, Betty is described as "an Indian woman." She was married to Caesar Wood, a miller known by some as "Black Caesar." The couple married in June of 1776. They had five children born between 1777 and 1785, three of whom died as infants and Caesar, Jr. died at the age of nine. It might be that only Sally, born in 1785, lived to adulthood. Betty died on October 12, 1800.
